Audio Visual and Collaboration Specialist

Genesys is seeking an “Audio Visual and Collaboration Specialist” to join our IT Team located in the Daly City corporate headquarters.  You will be responsible for managing our corporate audiovisual and collaboration experience for Genesys employees, including providing support for large departmental and company-wide All-Hands events.  You will partner with IT and business stakeholders to identify, integrate, deploy, innovate and support audiovisual and collaboration solutions at Genesys.  This position reports to the Sr. Director, IT Services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy audiovisual solutions company-wide through the management of external vendors, suppliers, audiovisual integrators, and in coordination with IT and Facilities teams

  • Support and maintain audiovisual systems and solutions in conference rooms and meeting spaces in the Daly City office

  • Partner with the Genesys A/V Committee to establish, document, communicate and enforce a global audio-visual standard

  • Chair weekly cross-functional A/V Committee meetings

  • Owner and escalation point for support of key company events (e.g., All-Hands)

  • Owner and escalation point for audiovisual standards, policies, and procedures

  • Responsible for tracking and managing audiovisual project goals, budgets and timelines. 

  • Provide strategic direction incorporating industry trends and emerging audio-visual technologies

  • Develop an audio-visual roadmap that includes refresh cycles, retrofit plans, budgets and support

  • Manage work requests via ServiceNow ticketing system

  • Create documentation for support processes, standard operating procedures, end-user guides, and best practices

  • Manage and maintain audiovisual hardware, software, and conference room inventory

Desired Skills and Abilities: 

  • Proficient with audiovisual conferencing software and hardware using Zoom, Zoom Rooms, Zoom Digital Signage, Crestron, Shure, and H.323 systems

  • Expert in managing and providing audiovisual support for corporate events and meetings

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal in English, with the ability to create rapport with clients, delivering a high level of customer service

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work under own initiative with limited guidance being required in own area of knowledge

  • Able to work with peers on a global scale

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel and Outlook

  • Able to work a varied and changing schedule as required (evenings, mornings weekends with some travel only as required)

  • Demonstrated aptitude for continuous learning and innovative thinking 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • 5-7 years’ experience with set-up and operations of audiovisual equipment, including skills in the fields of audio, video and lighting including but not limited to mixing equipment, lighting tools, cameras, microphones, projectors, video recorders, amplifiers, codecs, acoustics, and digital signage.

  • 3-5 years’ experience with troubleshooting, configuring and repairing computer hardware, software, network connectivity, and operating systems

  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification is desired

  • A+ (CompTIA) certification a plus

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs
