The Public Sector is looking to add a Business Analyst to the team to help with the creation and sustainability of the core business processes.  This individual will have the opportunity to work in cross functional teams to support the Public Sector Sales organization.

 

Business Processes

  • Define, document, and implement US PubSec specific processes, including:
    • FedRAMP operational processes
    • FedRAMP-specific proposal processes
    • Special quoting practices
    • MGEP quoting/transaction process with Maximus
    • SFDC naming conventions for US Public Sector team
    • Use and management of political consultants
  • Coordinate with IT, sales operations, and other functional areas to implement US PubSec specific processes
  • Provide recommendations for US PubSec business process improvements to US PubSec leadership

 

Contract Administration/Management

  • Develop and maintain overall list of available contract vehicles—direct, Carahsoft, and other partner vehicles
    • Track what products are on each vehicle, associated discount, and any fees
  • Create and manage direct contract strategy as well as working with Carahsoft to maximize contract vehicle coverage 
    • Identify gaps in contract vehicle coverage and investigate/recommend ways to address
  • Provide regular reports to US PubSec leadership regarding contract vehicle utilization and gaps in contract vehicle coverage

 

Channel Administration/Management

  • Manage the administrative aspects of government-specific channels
    • Partner portal access
    • Partner contracts
    • Assist US PubSec team members with resolution of partner order/quoting issues
  • Develop and maintain US PubSec partner program policies
  • Coordinate with Genesys NA Channels team to ensure partners execute appropriate government-specific partner program addendum.
    • Track and report results/status to US PubSec leadership
  • Manage overall Carahsoft relationship to ensure maximum benefit for Genesys
    • Contract vehicles
    • Use of political consultants
    • Special bid process
    • Order/fulfillment process
    • Demand generation and marketing leverage (in coordination with and support of US PubSec field marketing lead)
    • Quarterly business review of overall relationship and results
  • Track and report channel performance/contribution to US PubSec business

 

Proposal Management

  • Establish structured US Public Sector proposal development and RFX response process.  Ensure process consists of complete RFX review and tracks approvals for all elements of proposals, including:
    • Technical requirements compliance—delineate what is a capability and what is included
    • Legal and business review of complete contract requirements
    • Security review
    • Customer support/care SLAs
    • Personnel requirements for all aspects of proposal, including use of 8A contractors
  • Work with RFP Central and US Public Sector business development teams to ensure timely and accurate responses to customer RFX or issuance of unsolicited proposals, including:
    • Response timeline clearly defined and followed by RFP Central
    • Tracking approvals for the various elements of the proposal
  • Provide regular reporting to US Public Sector management regarding RFX responses and unsolicited proposals.

 

Political Consultant Management

  • Manage quarterly executive review calls with each political consultant
  • Establish and manage accountability system to track consultant performance:
    • Against objectives and key tasks
    • Against KPIs (pipeline development/influence, closed business)
  • Budget management
    • Track and report monthly spending against approved budget
    • Ensure POs are requested and processed in a timely fashion
    • Approve invoices and liaison with AP on any escalated payment issues. 

 

New Hire Onboarding

  • Develop and maintain training materials for US Public Sector specific processes and information, including:
    • US Public Sector team structure and roles
    • FedRAMP-specific proposal processes
    • Special quoting practices
    • FedRAMP operational processes
    • SFDC naming conventions for US Public Sector team
    • US Public Sector contract vehicles
    • Use of Deltek and BGOV procurement tracking tools
  • Work with GenED to develop customized required training program for all US PubSec team members
    • Provide monthly reporting of training compliance to US PubSec leadership

 

What you will have:

  • 2+ year of related experience
  • Experience using Salesforce, preferred
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office skills (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem solving skills
  • Effective time management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
