Genesys is looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to join the team. While this individual will live in the finance department, they will optimize and support the sales team. Primary responsibilities will include driving operational excellence, strategic planning, forecasting and reporting top line sales, forecasting and reporting operational expenses, and managing various Genesys go-to-market projects.

The Manager must be a self-starter, a clear communicator and highly analytical. They are a player-coach who leads through example and is willing and able to dive in when needed and roll up sleeves to attack problems and devise solutions


Essential Job Functions:

  • Support the weekly sales forecasting process
  • Work with the central FP&A team to support the monthly and quarterly reporting processes (bookings, revenue, expenses, headcount, sales commissions).
  • Interpret sales and marketing data for regional business leaders and senior executives to help make economic or business decisions.
  • Review and approve investments and expenditures.
  • Collaborate and provide guidance to sales organization as it applies to corporate metrics
  • Partner with Sales Operations to drive system enhancements where necessary for business requirements
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reporting tools and dashboards
  • Create policy and process documentation as necessary; provide communication and education to cross-functional teams as needed                                 


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance or related fields, Liberal Arts education, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and moderate proficiency in PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism; ability to communicate with executives.
  • Ability to travel once a quarter to business meeting off sites.
  • Ability to drive cross-departmental projects to resolution
  • Strong time management skills and work ethic
  • Experience at a software company, ideally with a Cloud product, is a plus but not a requirement
