Job Specifics:

The Genesys Insights team provides data, analytics and machine learning products and infrastructure that powers all the company’s product and business processes. We own the technology and the data quality, ensuring that the products we deliver to our internal customers are of the highest quality and enable high velocity, high quality, data-based decision making.  Our platforms are entirely cloud based!

The Analytics Platform team within the Genesys Insights team owns the platforms and data products that power all these key processes. Our job is to deliver platforms that makes data democratization simple for data providers and data consumers as well as specific data products to meet the needs of data analysts, data scientists and operational applications. The center of gravity in our data ecosystem are our finance, sales, Genesys Cloud CX, Genesys MultiCloud, and Genesys Dx instances.

The specific role is for a Director to drive the vision and execution of Genesys’s Analytics Platform program, which include our data, experimentation, and machine learning platforms, as well as standing up the standard product management practices within the Genesys Insights organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own and evangelize the data, experimentation, and machine learning visions for Genesys
  • Partner with the platform, data governance, analyst, and data management teams to deliver product roadmaps across multiple years and multiple company scenarios.
  • End-to-end data ownership of scope/priorities, schedule, budget, risks and issue management for Genesys’s Analytics platforms, machine learning models and enterprise data products
  • Be an data, experimentation, and machine learning subject matter expert for the organization.
  • Demonstrate customer obsession by providing the highest impact solutions based on careful analysis.

 

Job qualifications:

  • 10+ years combined experience: Program Management, Product Management, Data Platform, Data Science, Software Development, technical/engineering role(s).
  • 10+ years of experience in data science, data modeling, design, development, testing and implementation experience on large scale projects for enterprise businesses
  • 5+ years of experience with big data and data science projects, leveraging technology such as Python, R, Spark as well as big data storage technologies
  • Experience with public cloud technologies and frameworks for data management and machine learning
  • Established success in areas of impact for influence, cross group collaboration, and focus on positive outcomes
  • Proven sense of high accountability and self-drive to take on and see through big challenges.
  • Must be a self-starter, organized and detail oriented.
  • Proven success in collaborating across engineering, business, data analytics, data science, and operational teams, up to and including working with VP level stakeholders.
  • Proven success in working in matrixed organizations.
  • 5+ years demonstrated proficiency in executive level presentations and communications.
  • Flexible written and presentation communication skills that can provide clarity to audiences that include customers, peers, and other leadership.
  • Ability to quickly learn existing concepts and employ new techniques.
  • Competent problem-solving skills.

Preferred, not required:

  • A BA/BS degree in data science, information system, economics, statistics, machine learning or related discipline
  • Master’s degree in data science, information system, economics, statistics, machine learning or related discipline
