Director, Sales Operations – Asia Pacific

This position will be part of the Global Sales Operations team, reporting to the VP Global Sales Operations to act as a strategist, consultant and implementer, with a key focus on streamlining all sales operational activities based on the priorities of the VP Global Sales Operations.

The Sales Operations Director will act as a Chief of Staff to the SVP Sales, allowing you to focus on business growth and customer-facing activities.

 

What You’ll Do

In this role, the primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Act as an adviser to the SVP Sales, APAC and Senior Management Team and as a proxy when needed and where appropriate
  • Work with Regional SVP and VP Global Sales Operations to localize and execute sales strategy, plans and execution within the framework of global standards
  • Oversight of Regional/BU Weekly Bookings Forecast
  • Represent Region/BU in compensation planning discussions, compensation strategy and resolution
  • Responsible for the overall process and implementation of quota allocation, dispute resolution, and territory alignment, in collaboration with the SVP Sales
  • Lead regional sales planning efforts in coordination with Finance
  • Work with finance, sales leaders and HR to optimize resources to achieve bookings results (AE capacity, forward-looking resource needs, optimize OPEX/discretionary spending)
  • Participate in regular meetings with HR, Finance, Sales Ops, Legal and various other teams to assist in addressing issues, building plans and delivering programs
  • Drive CRM accuracy, pipeline analytics, forecasting and ad hoc regional reporting requirements
  • Work with SVP and sub-regional/territory leaders to define business requirements for reports/dashboards, and provide regional representation globally
  • Coordinate sales enablement and development initiatives in the region
  • Ensure efficient deal velocity, via deal management processes, process improvement initiatives in consultation with finance re deal approvals, booking processes etc.
  • Lead in collaboration with SVP Sales, QBRs, regional all hands, etc.
  • When requested, assess inquiries directed to the SVP Sales, determine the proper course of action and delegate to the appropriate individual to manage
  • Ensure all Sales Leadership team issues are addressed properly, efficiently and judiciously, and keep track of progress until resolved
  • Executive sponsor key strategic accounts
  • Ad-hoc duties as directed by Management

  • Regional Sales Team CSAT results
  • Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organisation, and to create a vision and organisation that can scale quickly

 

You’ve been there and done this…

  • 15+ years' executive-level experience (the preferred candidate should have experience in sales operations and another function such as finance and have experience working in a multi-national, matrixed organisation)
  • Impeccable managerial and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments
  • Strong analytical skills and adept at using key data, CRM and reporting tools
  • Effective, versatile and action-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Degree in Business Administration or related field a plus
  • Be collaborative, innovative and a team player
