Job Title: District Manager PMO – South

Department & Team: Professional Services

Reports to: Sr Director, PS

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina


Job Description


The PM District Manager is responsible for managing the Project Management Team in South sub-region, including Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia. The PM Team is responsible for the implementation of all the service delivery engagements across the Genesys South sub-region.

Responsibilities include project life cycle management from requirements gathering, customer expectation management, scope and effort estimation validation, project financial baseline validation, solution design, solution development and production deployment.


In this role the PM District Manager will have responsibility of the overall delivery activities for the sub-region.  Main objectives in this area should be cover the revenue objectives and maintain the project cost and margin on budget. Financial objectives should be meet, while achieving excellence in execution and customer satisfaction. 


Also the PM District Manager will be the main responsible for mentoring, advising and controlling the team of PMs in the region to follow up best practices, methodology tools and processes defined by Genesys.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Management of human resources assigned to the PM Team
  • Definition of roles, responsibilities and goals of the team members. Headcount Planning and justification.
  • Final escalation point for customers regarding any project related activity in the region.. 
  • Ensure that all the PMs throughout the sub-region are consistently following Genesys Methodology and using Genesys defined tools/processes for project follow up.This included but is not limited to:
    • Timecard accuracy and on time management
    • Financial control and rigor
    • Project Methodology adherence
    • Delivery best practices follow up
    • PS Global Practice Model adherence
    • Legal, financial and revenue recognition policies
  • Owner of the Revenue Forecast for the region. Work with the PS Regional Director to meet the revenue target as defined, including consistently delivering predictability and accuracy.
  • Take care of the Financials referred to projects in PS South. These include project goals on revenue and profit.
  • Identify, analyze and administer, jointly with the PM team, the risks of any of the projects in the region
  • Define get well plans for projects facing delivery issues and be the main responsible in front of the customer to execute them.
  • Participate as Genesys authority in Governance Project Meetings for the main projects in the sub-region. Consistently maintain direct relationship with the main customer in the region to understand project issues or new opportunities. 
  • Act as responsible into Genesys Corporation for any issue related to projects in
  • Work with the CSD team to validate PS Commercial proposals for large and/or strategical projects.
  • Ensure all the processes and corporative definitions are followed properly in any single project in the region. For all these definitions and processes, the PM District Manager  Lead should closely work with the Global PMO.
  • PMO Scorecard definition, implementation and follow up.


Required Skills/Experience:


  • Ability to maintain excellent colleague and client relationships.  Ability to create partnership relations with providers and vendors.
  • Experience managing the execution of services methodologies. Former experience managing big projects for or into Telecommunication and Financial companies.
  • Ability to lead the relationship with the customer and manage expectations. Must be able to interact with C-Level staff within the customer and Genesys as well as lead deployment and support personnel.
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality management.
  • Prior experience managing a multi-million dollar, mission critical Project Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Strong facilitation skills.
  • At least 10 years experience in a team-leading role with direct responsibility for managing the activities (task assignments, budgets, schedules, etc.).
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to manage geographically dispersed teams
  • Ability to accommodate extensive travel requirements as need. Travel requirements will vary and are often based on individual project requirements. Estimated to be 50-60%.
