Location: Preference is Chicago, IL including Denver/Boulder, or Indy (Open to remote)

 

 

Summary:

Genesys Event Marketing serves as the key, centralized point-of-contact for global internal sales conferences, incentive programs, and signature customer conferences and is seeking an event manger to provide administrative and overall support for the Central Events Team.  Position requires event experience and the ability to work both independently and as part of the team as required.  Must have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks within deadlines and ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed.

 

 

This role will be expected to assist in providing end-to-end meeting/event planning, administration and execution of high level/visible corporate events and conferences. Must have knowledge of a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within the meeting management field. A wide degree of creativity, flexibility and latitude is required, along with good judgment to plan and accomplish goals. In addition, the role requires high levels of accountability, aggressiveness, adaptability, professionalism and team cohesiveness.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Planning and executing conferences and meetings to deliver best-in-class events as a key member of the Corporate Events team 
  • Create and maintain program planning documents and timelines to ensure deadlines are met across the extended teams 
  • Partner with meeting and production vendors on any logistical communications, needs and requirements as needed per event 
  • Manage the signage and collateral needs for each event, partnering with creative lead 
  • Lead the overall management of the global event app with field marketing and regional liaisons 
  • Liaise with event procurement as necessary to create and process purchase requisitions, contract approvals and vendor payments 
  • Provide onsite execution for events (both domestic and internationally)

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Up to 4 years of experience in event planning/coordination required
  • Previous experience assisting large-scale, complex conferences with cross-functional responsibilities
  • A creative, innovative outlook with the ability to articulate and implement ideas
  • Strong detail orientation, proven record to multitask effectively, able to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability for accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt to change
  • Exhibit drive, initiative, enthusiasm and a sense of humor
  • Both national and international travel required
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading skills, and speaking
  • Fantastic customer service and ethics
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
