Position Purpose


Within the Verticals team, part of Global Sales, The Industry Designer team is structured by Industry sectors – Financial Services, Retail, Insurance, Healthcare.

This mission will be executed in close partnership with all functions involved in transforming our approach to industry markets, including Marketing, Strategy and Offer Development.

The successful Industry Enterprise Architects will naturally become the technical reference of their industry across the company: being the global expert for the industry, proactively interlocking to optimize impact and constantly developing industry references. 


The Industry Designer’s mission is to accelerate the customer journey to Experience as a Service by:

  • Translating customer outcomes & use cases into actionable architectures by industry
  • Supporting proofs of concepts & production rollouts with customer stakeholders;
  • Converting customer industry architecture references into Global Industry Standards to make them re-usable and repeatable in other accounts within the Industry.
  • Advising company on industry ecosystem partnerships (Partners team, Developer Community, etc.); 
  • Holding peer-level relationships with C-Level executives in the targeted industry; 
  • Curating & keeping current a portfolio of such solutions aligned to industry & customer priorities;
  • Collaborate with Global Industry Experience Leaders to capture best practices & customer needs;
  • Capturing, packaging and sharing thought leadership;
  • Recommending & advocating for product & ecosystem development to support engagements; and
  • Working as part of OneGenesys to drive findings & opportunities into the company.
  • Driving “art of the possible” conversations with Stakeholders to explore new demand and ideate on latest capabilities, evangelize, and develop Genesys-based solutions and assets. This includes oversight of delivery, innovation, advisory and support across geographies, enabling business-led transformations.



Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience preferred either as an enterprise architect, practitioner, management consultant, or an operational consultant, ideally with demonstrated expertise in the targeted industry market
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems management, accounting, business management or other relevant degree. Master’s degree in either business administration or computer technology is a strong positive
  • Executive presence demonstrated by excellent and energetic public speaking skills across scenarios (e.g., customer 1-on-1, 1-to-Many Events, executive briefings, etc.), ideally for both technical & business topics
  • Experience building and retaining strong customer relationships, with proven engagement skills at CxO level
  • Passion for creating holistic solutions to unstructured business problems, including technology, operational, financial, and commercial architecture elements
  • Foresight and creativity to envision “art of the possible” implications by integrating a diverse portfolio of perspectives, data and inferences.
  • Experience in diverse technology landscape, process/technology integration issues, customer design management, and/or service design thinking.  Familiarity with Genesys technologies, especially emerging solutions (e.g., Digital, AI), strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding how to use and implement the Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework and knowledge of IT network design and governance.  Relevant certifications, such as: Agile, ITIL, Service Design Thinking and/or Customer Experience Management, are a strong plus
  • Positive, Motivated, Self-starter with a can-do attitude & strong sense of ownership over their engagements.  Willingness to do the heavy lifting to get to a better result more quickly.  Enthusiastic collaborator.
  • Ability to travel 50%
  • Fluent in English, bilingual skills is a plus.
