The manager of Billing Operations coordinates and directs a team of Billing Analysts in the day-to-day billing activities for all Genesys products and services.  The manager owns the processes and the methods of measuring their effectiveness.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Responsible to ensure every Genesys invoice is accurate and delivered on-time
  • Work cooperatively with the credit teams to maximize timely collectability of revenue
  • Develop and maintain adherence to global billing processes which achieve operational excellence across the business
  • Participate in developing KPI metrics for the department.  Integrate them into the department processes and use them to drive operational excellence
  • Drive financial controls into the fabric of the department’s processes and personnel
  • Rapidly respond to escalations which affect customers and/or revenue
  • Acquire and develop talent within the department, teaching each employee to achieve a level of excellence in their role
  • Ensure that effective testing of IT system changes and upgrades is designed and performed for all changes

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or five (5) years of experience in a related field
  • Customer-focused (always thinking “how will this affect the customer?”)
  • Demonstrated leadership traits (maturity, flexibility, intuition, organization, inner drive)
  • Creative and critical thinking skills (solutions-oriented and able to improvise options)
  • Strong written, verbal communication, teaching, and presentation skills
  • Ability to learn and effectively use a variety of computer applications (e.g. ERP system, Salesforce, MS Office, etc.)
  • Ability to multi-task and focus on priorities, while still managing the details
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Knowledge of finance processes and controls requirements
  • Travel: expected to be less than 10% of year, may include some international locations
