Channel Marketing Manager – Japan


Reporting to the APAC Channel/Partner Director, the ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables him/her to engage at the senior management level, as well as a marketing background that enables him/her to be the voice of Genesys marketing to our partner community in Japan.

You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and marketing, with the talent to build and convey a compelling story to our partner ecosystem.


This role requires strong collaboration and relationship-building skills as you will be required to partner with the regional Sales Teams, Product Management & Marketing, and Field & digital Marketing to execute Partner Marketing programs in the region.

You will be the voice of partners into various internal stakeholders and be willing to share best practices across regions.


In addition, you will also be required to manage external vendors to execute on programs and achieve goals.


Key responsibilities:


  • As channel marketing manager you will be responsible for developing, driving and implementing channel marketing activity for selected groups of channel partners.
  • Develop and oversee the marketing plan for specific channels within the organization.
  • Implement channel campaigns in order to expand market share and pursue aggressive growth targets.
  • Work closely with all aspects of the business to gather product and channel insights.
  • Work closely with the product and corporate marketing teams to support brand development and experiential activities. 
  • Analyze data to provide reports and recommendations to drive targeting & segmentation and increase Genesys market share
  • Understand changing and differing priorities depending on the partners and how these impact channel marketing. 


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a channel/partner marketing capacity.
  • Event Management
  • Past experience managing marketing budgets ideally within a channel/partner marketing environment.
  • IT industry experience an advantage but not essential as long as you have a keen interest in technology
  • A strong understanding of the channels in B2B environment
  • Project and Event management experience would be a definite advantage.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a remote environment
  • Marketo & SFDC proficiency will be a strong advantage
  • Good command of English and fluency in Japanese a must #LI-MP1
