Strategic Alliances – Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Strategic Alliances team as part of the Chief Strategy Office within Genesys builds and grows partnerships via best of breed partners that are identified as strategic and provide significant reciprocal benefits via joint GTM, co-sell and technical/industry leadership.

Genesys has commenced a significant growth program that elevates the value of the partnership ecosystem across strategic alliances, reseller partners, technology partners and the Genesys application marketplace “AppFoundry”. As part of this growth, we have established significant strategic alliances with best of breed partners including Microsoft, Google, AWS, Zoom, Adobe  and others.

As a key member of the Strategic Alliances team, the Strategic Alliances Operations Manager supports our team as we manage our growth and expansion. The Operations Manager is responsible for assisting our team in driving operational excellence across all our strategic alliances team and business units we collaborate with. They also assist with the day to day administration of the team and operational tasks.

This role is a high value-add partner to the team, enabling growth, new opportunities and increasing productivity by providing effective methodologies, efficient processes, value-added information and tools.

 

Responsibilities:

  • The position is part of the Strategic Alliances team and will report to the Global Vice President of Strategic Alliances.
  • Managing and maintaining alliance based processes and data in our CRM (Salesforce) and reporting dashboards (Tableau).
  • Recognizing, developing, and implementing process improvements within the team and all our key partner teams including sales, marketing, product, finance and legal.
  • Developing and maintaining, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and key metrics.
  • Managing and maintaining process adherence within our team and all the teams we collaborate with internally and partners externally.
  • Manage initiatives and projects to drive stakeholders and deliver outcomes
  • Partnering with our sales counterparts to ensure accurate forecasting models and data
  • Assisting the team with strategic alliance pipeline and opportunity measurement
  • Preparing quarterly business review presentations
  • Establishing partner based governance programs, processes and templates.
  • Creating and maintaining policies, procedures, training manuals, and related resource material
  • Assisting with the onboarding and training process of new team members
  • Assisting with the development of new strategic alliance onboarding processes
  • This individual will interface with numerous internal groups (all levels of management) and must be able to quickly form productive and positive working relationships with staff with varying technical and business backgrounds and skill levels across cross-functional teams.
  • The candidate should be able to work fairly independently, and to interface with company, our partners and outside resources.
  • The candidate should also have some experience in the cloud software industry, with direct exposure to the “customer experience” market a plus.
  • When safe to do so, the position is located in our headquarters office in Daly City California (15 minutes south of San Francisco).

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years relevant work experience (in business or sales operations)
  • Strong analytics and structured problem-solving skills
  • Solid financial and business acumen
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Proven multi tasking, prioritizing projects and meeting deadlines and goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and persuasively at all levels internally and externally
  • High emotional intelligence
  • Strong attention to details, with ability to drill down into very tactical considerations to ensure accuracy in deliverables
  • Self-starter and autonomous, ability to multi-task, work independently, prioritize and get things done
  • Excellent time management, communication, decision-making and organization skills
  • Positive attitude, team player

Desirable Skills:

  • Salesforce and Tableau/BI skills
  • Master’s degree
