The Payable Specialist position will be part of our Accounts Payables team reporting directly to the Payables Team Lead.  Primary responsibility will be the handling of all accounts payable and Travel & Expense related inquiry exceptions and escalations.  The individual in this role will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Expense Management System.  The position will require the direct contact with all levels within the company as well as external vendors and partners. This opportunity requires an individual who can contribute in a fast-paced, team environment while exhibiting superior customer service abilities.



The primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Research and resolve exceptions and escalations of employee requests, questions, and critical system issues relating to travel, expense, and corporate credit card
  • Ensure appropriate approvals are received on all invoices and purchase order requests
  • Correspond with internal departments and external vendors on inquiries
  • Review and distribute invoices to appropriate departments for approval
  • Reconcile and analyze vendor statements and transactions
  • Assist with month end accruals and reconciliations
  • Assist in annual 1099 process for all vendors
  • Work closely with Center of Excellence Team to insure all process and procedures are followed
  • Support corporate card and expense system administration, analysis, and reporting
  • Performs other Accounts Payable, Employee Expense duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications/Skills Desired and Preferred:

  • Business Degree or equivalent experience required
  • At least 3+ years Accounts Payable experience required
  • Concur, NetSuite and Coupa experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) required
  • Strong attention to detail with consistency and punctuality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all departments and levels within the company
  • Ability to work effectively with other team members
  • Ability to handle an increasing amount of responsibility
  • Ability to adapt to change
