This is a 100% remote position.  Candidates can be located in The United States or Canada

Genesys is looking for an experienced Salesforce Architect with strong experience in Salesforce platform and related technologies. This role is responsible for building scalable & sustainable architecture, org strategy, solution design and serve as a technical & thought leader for Salesforce platform in Genesys. The candidate will design and create Salesforce architecture that implements the functioning software systems, services and solutions and supports the integration to other Cloud and On-premise systems. This role will work closely with the technical team leads, developers, infrastructure team, business analysts, system integrators and stakeholders to design highly scalable and sustainable solutions. The candidate is expected to have a good understanding of CPQ & billing concepts. The candidate will be customer focused, highly collaborative, and constantly seek input to ensure success. The candidate should be ready to get their hands dirty and jump in and write code/troubleshoot if necessary (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, front end web technologies & data migration).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design application architecture solutions that span multiple Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Marketing, Analytics, Social, Communities) that meet business requirements, articulate design considerations, trade-offs, benefits, and recommendations for an application architecture
  • Must be versed in new and upcoming Salesforce.com features to guide implementation of applicable features
  • Serve as a solution architect to ensure deliverables for Salesforce.com Projects are done in line with best practices and strategic platform direction
  • Solution design and implementation of Quote to Cash solutions using Salesforce CPQ and billing
  • Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including technical and functional capabilities; ability to execute on highly complex or specialized projects.
  • Oversight of multiple vendors involved with Salesforce Configuration and Development work
  • Participate in the development of architectures, strategies, and policies around data governance, including master data management, metadata management, data quality and data profiling
  • Optimization of solutions through an understanding of business needs and technology capabilities
  • Communicate and work effectively with cross functional teams including business teams, product teams, global IT Apps teams, consultants & vendors
  • Document as-is and to-be architecture solutions. Present complex solutions options and benefits to key technical program stakeholders.
  • Efficiently manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities, prioritization, and communication
  • Collaborate with Salesforce technical team to ensure Salesforce development teams follow best practices when architecting, programming or documenting solutions.
  • Work with Salesforce technical team to design and implement deployment automation and CI/CD tools and promote adoption by the entire Salesforce development team
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of a broad range of emerging technology trends and identifies opportunities where technology might be deployed to deliver business improvements and competitive advantage.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technology, or in a related field
  • 6 + years of Experience in architecting and designing full stack solutions using Salesforce Platform
  • 3 + years of Experience in designing and developing solutions on Salesforce Lightning Platform
  • Expert level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Community, and Marketing Clouds, as well as the Force.com Platform
  • Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems, as well as working with integration tools (ETL, marketing automation, reporting, etc.)
  • Experience with implementing CPQ & CLM solutions
  • Experience with single-org deployments and multi-org consolidations
  • Expert level understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
  • Strong experience in architecting continuous integration and continuous delivery solution for Salesforce.com applications
  • Ability to think critically and challenge conventional thinking

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator and Advanced Administrator
  • Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant and Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant       
  • Salesforce Platform Developer Certifications
  • Salesforce Certified Application & System Architect
  • Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist
