Product Manager – Artificial Intelligence Data Services

The Product Management team at Genesys is seeking a talented manager to help the team solve some of the most pressing and challenging business problems at one of the largest private B2B software companies in the Bay Area. 

The Product Management organization sits at the intersection of the Product Development teams and the Sales and Marketing teams. Its role is to drive the company’s new product developments alongside R&D teams, while meeting the markets’ existing and emerging needs. Within this organization, a small team is dedicated to managing the company’s most strategic investments in Artificial Intelligence. 

This team strives to:

  • Understand overall industry trends as well as role played by artificial intelligence and machine learning in industry fast paced disruption
  • Allocate funding against the most strategic AI-powered solutions
  • Lead product management activities around the creation and growth of Genesys AI platform
  • Oversee AI partnerships and acquisitions
  • Think as entrepreneurs, ideate and prototype to uncover the next generation of AI-powered use cases at Genesys
  • Be the AI company’s connective tissue, so cross-functional teams (Marketing, R&D, Sales, Professional Services…) work effectively with shared objectives to deliver the best AI-powered products to the market.
  • Work humbly, collaboratively, and embrace ambiguity.

As the Product Manager for Artificial Intelligence Data Services you will lead efforts to define infrastructure for and management of the data at the heart of our AI efforts. Working in close collaboration with scientists, engineers, operations staff, and other product managers, you will ensure timely availability of relevant information from the field while meeting all applicable regulations and industry best practices.

In this role you must be collaborative and precise, with a service-oriented attitude, and able to drive progress on multiple assignments simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop requirements for high performance real-time data capture, transport, and archiving
  • Predict and respond to future data needs based on proposed product initiatives
  • Work across product teams to ensure suitable data generation is included in development plans
  • Educate product teams on available data resources
  • Collaborate with Professional Services on data collection to facilitate client projects
  • In conjunction with our Legal and Data Security teams, monitor and respond to the dynamic global environment for data protection
  • Support account teams in customer meetings by providing subject matter expertise 

The PM Artificial Intelligence Data Services will report directly to the Director of Product Management for Genesys AI platform and interface with numerous internal groups at all levels. You must be able to quickly form productive and positive working relationships with staff of varying technical skill levels and business backgrounds across a wide range of geography.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably with a background in data science or related field
  • Experience working with agile software development methods
  • Strong attention to detail, with ability to drill down into highly technical use cases
  • Demonstrated comfort working within a high performance, cross-functional team
  • Ability to work effectively with distributed teams (US, Europe, India)
  • Self-starter and autonomous, ability to multi-task, work independently, prioritize and get things done
  • Quantitative BA/MS or equivalent experience required. MBA a plus.
