Senior Account Executive, Commercial – Sydney

As Senior Account Executive you are the catalyst behind the growth and success of the company and carry responsibility for all sales opportunities across the commercial business segments.

As consultative Sales Professional, you are expected to take ownership for positioning the full Genesys solution portfolio, developing and managing a sales pipeline, securing net-new business and driving revenue growth from within the existing customer base.

Your main goal is to achieve an annual sales target by closing prospective deals. Once an opportunity has been closed, then your role is to engage with the appropriate internal resources to help manage the initial phases of post-sales support and ensure the implementation is set up accordingly.


What You Can Bring to Genesys

  • Experience of selling complex software solutions into multiple vertical markets
  • Excellent track record of success in an individual contributor net new business role
  • Experience of selling either customer experience, contact centre, CRM, digital transformation or similar sort of technology stack
  • Cloud or SAAS based software Sales preferred
  • Experience of being part of numerous complex and consultative sales engagements Experience of working alongside or through partner organisations.
  • Ability to influence indirectly through this partner community as well as directly with the customer and prospect base
  • A team player and a leader of virtual teams, able to orchestrate and win complex sales cycles

  • Effective presentation skills
  • Communication skills, verbal and written, in addition to building relationship within internal organisation
  • Ability to influence for both externally and internally
  • Prioritisation Effective time management
  • Financial skills in deal structuring including TCO analyses and leasing
  • Effective relationship building
  • Must be able to function independently with minimal supervision
  • Forecasting ability (SFDC Lighting)
  • Must be able to lead a virtual team of technicians, service colleagues, finance support personnel and partners to effectively manage an overall sales campaign.
  • Demonstration of success in large account management and quota achievement.


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Be responsible and accountable for the integrity of the proposals submitted including the overall structure of the deal and the pricing of the opportunity (as per any price approval guidelines).
  • Provide regular forecasts to the district manager of current and pipeline opportunities.
