Senior Account Executive

 

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for identifying and closing new customers in an assigned geographic territory. The Senior Account Executive grows and manages a lead pipeline of active prospects, identifies opportunities through a consultative selling approach, arranges product demonstrations through the web and then closes new customer accounts that create long-term, mutual wins. Senior Account Executives are responsible for driving new customer acquisition through a consultative selling approach by solving business problems that align to Genesys Cloud solutions. Genesys Cloud is the industry's leading Enterprise, Cloud-based and On-Demand Customer Experience (CX) platform that helps any size company improve customer service and reduce operational cost. The ideal Senior Account Executive candidate will have at least 5 years of sales experience focused on new customer acquisition, preferably in areas such as business services, technology and telecom. Prior experience of closing new business over the phone, web and email is highly preferred but not required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualify and convert inbound marketing leads from web, webinars and events
  • Lead sales process including detailed product demonstrations self-sufficiently
  • Identify, qualify and close new customers within assigned territory
  • Lead product demos and business presentations on a consistent weekly basis
  • Lead and present formal business proposals at the executive level
  • Manage multiple sales cycles in a transactional, fast-paced selling environment
  • Partner with cross-functional resources to drive deal collaboration
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and sales cycle reporting via Salesforce.com
  • Meet or exceed all weekly KPI and quarterly bookings quota

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years professional selling experience in direct business sales, preferably in areas such as business services, technology and telecom
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with prior experience of closing new business over the phone, web and email.
  • Develop proficiency of Genesys Cloud offers and industry
  • High levels of social perceptiveness and customer service
  • Self-driven, motivated, and results oriented
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
