ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are looking for a talented content strategist who has a nose for thought leadership and a way with words. 

Ultimately, your mission is this: You lead through example to educate and inspire our buyers, partners and internal stakeholders with content that positions Genesys as a thought leader.

 

You’re recognized as an influential leader and a marketing professional with a proven track record in leading high-performing teams and in research and content. You have stellar writing skills, a love for technical innovation, and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. You research market and customer intelligence, product big reports and author technical innovation content.

YOUR FUTURE DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead well.  Listen actively.  Use empathy.  Coach for results.  Drive vision and purpose.  Have your team’s back.  
  • Do your homework.  Conduct primary and secondary research.  Synthesize intelligence from internal and external data sources.  Dig in to find the meat. 
  • Craft thought-provoking content. Author and co-author big reports and technical innovation content.  Enlighten with new ideas.  Showcase our expertise.  Engage with a good experience.  Align to our business goals and deliver an overarching content strategy.   
  • Advocate for prospects and customers. Create content they want. Tailor and optimize it for persona, buying stage, communication channel and content format. 
  • Champion clarity. Not all messages are created equal. You know how to clarify a message, bring data to life and move readers to action through simple words and powerful visuals.  
  • Collaborate across teams. Manage the research calendar and work with internal and external SMEs to make it happen. 
  • Push the boundaries. Think beyond what is accepted as possible.  Be a voice of innovation and thought leadership within and beyond the contact center.  Expand beliefs that will inspire others to build a better tomorrow. 
  • Iterate and optimize. Derive every ounce of value from our hard work.  Make data-driven improvements to boost the effectiveness of thought leadership content and programs.

 

YOU CAN CHECK OFF THESE REQUIREMENTS BOXES  

  • 12+ years of experience (Content Marketing) 
  • Superb people skills in leading high-performing teams  
  • Takes the ball and runs with it, working both independently and collaborating cross-functionally 
  • Impeccable written communication skills and strong presentation skills 
  • Eagerness to excel in a fun, ever-changing work environment 
  • Bachelor’s in business, communications, marketing or equivalent 
  • Willing to travel 10% (when we’re out of a global pandemic, of course)
