We have an excellent opportunity to join Genesys as a Senior Manager, Global Contracts within our Procurement team.

 

This position will have a dual role, providing commercial contract support primarily to the North America region while creating and leading a global contract management process and team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial business transactions with an emphasis on financial terms and will also have experience defining and developing legal and contracting processes and policies for multinational companies. This position is based in Indianapolis (or remote) and will report to the Vice President of Procurement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Genesys’ Procurement and Sourcing teams by reviewing terms and conditions for a broad range of vendor agreements with a primary focus on cloud services and SaaS, technology partner agreements, software license and support agreements, RFP responses, statements of work, and professional services agreements.
  • Design, communicate, and maintain a comprehensive contract management process which brings global standardization and scalability but supports specific regional requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and provide general finance and business-related advice for internal clients regarding company processes, track and facilitate the contract process, and make recommendations based on company policies and standards.
  • Build and manage a team of specialists to support specific regional requirements regarding contract language, process compliance, and document management.
  • Lead with empathy and provide a positive and enthusiastic team culture which focuses on our mission, vision and values.
  • Develop effective metrics and KPIs for the department to help track, measure and improve performance of key processes and procedures.
  • Regularly contribute to and refine appropriate templates, playbooks, and guidance documents. Lead efforts to organize, manage, and archive contracts and agreement templates through contract lifecycle management within DocuSignCLM and Coupa.
  • Assist in developing and implementing improvements to business processes to support the contracting process and ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Participate in special projects within the Procurement Department to develop, implement and enhance processes and policies that improve transaction velocity, efficiency and standardization without material increase in risk.

 

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of commercial contracts experience with a high-tech company
  • Experience with Procurement and Legal Operations, e-Procurement systems including sourcing, procurement, and contract modules – Docusign CLM, Adobe, Coupa, Netsuite.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and contract drafting skills with substantive knowledge of finance and business-related terms and conditions.
  • Ability to build, implement, and document a new global process, leading the change management and cross-functional training.
  • Consistent good judgment and ability to apply legal knowledge to help create practical business solutions.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with diligence, organization, and minimal supervision, and provide team leadership to a global team.
  • Ability to manage a diverse and complex workload while maintaining priorities and proactively anticipating issues.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in managing a volume of large and/or strategic agreements and suite of agreement templates through collaboration tools.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes and deadlines.
  • A self-starter who operates well in a fast-paced environment that places a strong premium on integrity, excellence, execution, compliance, and teamwork.
