Job Summary:


We have a great opportunity for you to work on a development team working on the Genesys AI Platform, Customer Journey Analytics, Insights and Predictive Routing. The Genesys AI platform collects billions of events from various sources to build a holistic picture of the customer's journey and predict when best to interact with the person for support or marketing engagement and who is best suited to handle a specific interaction.


We are looking for an exceptional developer in test to join our team in Hyderabad to deliver mission-critical platform features. This is an exciting time to be at Genesys as we are innovating with speed and scale.  You will be a key contributor to create the best cloud based CX solution focusing on AI and providing the best end-to-end experiences. You will have the opportunity to use cloud technologies like Lambda, DynamoDB, as well as other AWS services.  Most importantly, you will learn how to extend these technologies to the next level and improve engineering efficiency.  You will also be using technologies like Java, Node.js, Python, Go, React, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, and become an expert in building deployable, scalable, maintainable cloud microservices.


Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Maintain automated test jobs in an automated deployment pipeline. Maintain automated test jobs in an automated deployment pipeline
  • Triage failed automated test executions and report defects when appropriate
  • Coordinate bug hunts to gather user feedback for new features
  • Identify useful test cases that identify and isolate faults
  • Build trust and maintain relationships with team members of product management and development
  • Perform exploratory testing to identify high risk areas, refine requirements, and isolate bugs to increase testability of application
  • Coordinate test efforts for projects involving multiple teams to ensure appropriate test coverage
  • Expert in the architecture, design, and customer use cases for their team's service
  • Identify acceptance criteria for complex projects and determine priorities for test automation to balance operational efficiency with sufficient test coverage
  • Identify areas of risk for performance, longevity, and architectural robustness by designing and running longevity and destructive tests
  • Assist support engineers with escalated customer issues by reading logs, explaining intended behaviors, and identifying defects  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data using software analytics services such as New Relic and Sumo Logic to monitor services and diagnose problem
  • Ability to use automation and configuration management frameworks such Ansible and Puppet
  • Ability to use version control systems such as GitHub or Bitbucket 
  • Ability to use delivery pipeline automation and configuration tools such as Jenkins
  • Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA)
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) using programming languages such as Java and Python
  • Knowledge of multi-tier web applications and technologies such as HTTP, JavaScript, and JSON in a service-oriented architecture (SOA)
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as EC2 and S3 
  • Knowledge of agile testing methodologies and best practices for continuous delivery (CD)
  • Understanding of how application frameworks such as Spring and Express are used to develop applications
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
