Job Summary:

The Custom Solutions group is a customer-facing delivery team within Genesys Global Professional Services Organization responsible for all customized software development, validation, and sustaining of services solutions. This group is responsible for development of technical solutions, applications and “middleware” complementing the main platforms in coordination with the various product teams to ensure the best solution is offered for the customer.

The Principle PS Consultant is responsible for customized software development, validation, and sustaining of services solutions across all Genesys products and services. 

Successful candidate will work closely with some of the top experts in the field of VoIP, Web, CTI, Mobile, Social Media, and other Communication technologies both within and external to Genesys in order to develop highly innovative solutions and deliver a truly differentiated service for Genesys Customers. 


  • Design and develop software solutions and customizations leveraging Genesys products and services based on industry best Services/Project  Delivery practices
  • Work with Genesys Technical Presales Teams and Business Partners to design and develop custom solutions to prospective customers
  • Assist clients and business partners in the development lifecycle of custom software components and applications using Genesys SDKs/APIs on Windows and UNIX/Linux/ Solaris platforms.
  • Create accurate development effort estimates in collaboration with the Team Manager and PS project managers or Regional Managers. Present and demonstrate proposed solutions as required. Perform knowledge transfer of the delivered solutions at the conclusion of the engagement as necessary.
  • Provide support to entitled clients at the Application level for custom developed solutions (applications and components) on as needed basis. 
  • Working as a team player to the organization. Providing feedback to product organization about issues found in API’s, documentations, architectures.


  • BS/MS/BA or equivalent.
  • 8 yrs or more of Full Stack commercial software development experience in Java and .NET (VB, ASP and C#) languages and environments.
  • User Interface Design and Development using HTML/ JavaScript with a preference for React.
  • Experience in web application development methodologies. Solid understanding of web architecture.
  • Experience with LINUX operating environments.
  • Working knowledge developing customized, technical solutions
  • Good practical experience working with Genesys technologies. Experience developing software with integration to various customer environments/backend systems using Genesys APIs/SDKs is a preference.
  • Ability to work independently on routine duties or projects, general instruction on new assignments. Proven leadership ability in a high performance culture.
  • Good verbal, writing skills and the ability to effectively interact with clients (business and technical audiences) in the English language is a must. Having similar capabilities in other major European languages is a plus.
  • Ability to relate effectively with clients and partners (vendors and internal teams). May assist with resolving escalated customer issues that originated with the customers or partners. 

Familiarity with the following is a definite plus:

  • Good practical experience with Development Methodologies
  • Practical experience with best Consulting Services/Project Delivery practices employed in the industry among leading consulting organizations
  • Practical experience with mobile application development, either in native or HTML5 form.
  • Good working experience with Database Administration/Optimization
