Job Summary:

The Senior Software Engineer position is responsible for evaluating potential platform bugs reported by our clients through our Customer Care team, diagnosing and troubleshooting unexpected behavior on Genesys platforms, bug fix development, and emergency incident response. This position will participate in an on-call rotating shift schedule with other team members worldwide to ensure 24/7x365 shift coverage.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bug fix software development, along with occasional new feature development
  • Create and execute test cases for new or existing features
  • Work as part of a global team using a variety of communication tools
  • Software diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Application performance monitoring
  • Assist in development of CI/CD processes and procedures
  • Provides assistance to other teams such as Customer Care and/or Professional Services with regard to software behavior
  • Documentation of work in tickets
  • Learn and use new software technologies as dictated by projects and product plans

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
  • Proven track record of effectively working as a team in a multi discipline environment
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills
  • 2-3 years development experience in Java, JavaScript, Node.js and AngularJS
  • Development experience in Redis, PostgreSQL and Oracle, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Linux environments, GIT source code control, VoIP using SIP, and SMS/MMS messaging
