Job Description

Job Title: Cloud Channel Business Manager – China

Department & Team: APAC Sales 

Reports to: Channel Director - APAC

Location: Beijing

 Job Purpose: 
The purpose of the role is to develop and implement Channel Sales Strategy for China as part of the overall China go-to-market (GTM). This role is a high visibility role, with a focus on new revenue generation through Cloud Partners in China.

Principle Accountabilities:
• Drive the strategy and manage the relationship between Genesys and Cloud Providers including Tencent,, Alibaba etc. Ensure strong cross functional teamwork as we engage and work with these important strategic partners.
• Identify strategic local ecosystem partners in the areas of Cloud, AI and Analytics.
• Develop the business plan and drive incremental revenue through assigned Cloud Partners.
• Develop and execute the Channel Sales Strategy for China through a combination of local and regional resellers and execute on well-crafted channel programs.
• Define and execute business plans including quarterly business reviews to deepen our traction with the partner ecosystem in China
• Oversee relationship building activities, enablement and account mapping activities between Genesys’ sales organization and the identified partners
• Team up with the Marketing Team to drive marketing programs with key partners and ensure that activities tie back to a successful ROI.
• Keep up-to-date with latest industry trends in the Customer Experience (CX) space and master Genesys’ sales methodology
• Actively engage the extended Genesys team to secure business wins through partners

Key Skills and Experience:
• 5 years of relevant experience within a software / solutions environment. Business knowledge, built upon a strong technology foundation, with sales/Channels background.
• Channel manager experience within China
• Experience managing telco partners and familiarity with Cloud Partners in China is essential.
• Inquisitive and persistent: always looking for a new way to do things. Asking the tough questions – expertise to see the “big picture”
• Familiarity with the CX business/Collaboration space and a good understanding of technology is an advantage
• Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail with the ability to set clear priorities in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
• Self-starter and able to work independently
• Able to travel extensively
