The Genesys EMEA Cloud Competence Center (ECCC) is a unique team made up of Genesys Cloud experts with the skills to provide expert services in support of all key stakeholders (Genesys Sales, Presales, Customers, Partners, Prospects, etc.) in an account. The team consists of Architects, API Developers, Program Managers, Presales Consultants, Implementation Consultants and Security & Privacy Experts. The team sits within the EMEA Pre-Sales organization, supporting both direct & indirect business opportunities and new growth strategies.

Genesys is offering you an exceptional career opportunity to join this team of regional cloud experts as a Sr. Cloud Security Architect with a specialization in security & privacy.

Role and Responsibilities: 

  • You will own one or more product specializations, deliver expert services including Partner enablement, Premise to Cloud migrations, tailored demonstrations, Must-Win Opportunity support and more, for the Genesys Cloud flagship product.
  • You will be our subject matter expert with a key focus on all security aspects of Complex Architecture design for Genesys Cloud and Hybrid cloud scenarios.
  • You will be an interface between Product Management, Global InfoSec and Privacy offices and regional Sales teams (Direct & Partners Presales/Sales teams) within your area of expertise. You will assist in product research, RFP responses, product compliance roadmap presentations within your area of specialization.
  • Own all customer/prospect requested Security audits/assessments from EMEA and collaborate will all global functions for the timely completion of these requests.
  • Support our Compliance teams (Privacy office, Security Office, legal team) for any technical discussions with prospects, customers and partners.
  • Be able to explain our security, privacy and compliance policies, controls & processes.
  • Perform or contribute to our regular risk assessments (Security & Privacy).
  • You will be expected to join calls/meetings with our Prospects, customers and partners to present our security & compliance approach.
  • work to enable our Sales and Presales teams, and crucially also our Partners, ensuring a solid foundation of security understanding is established and they have the skills they need to be successful with their opportunities.
  • You may be called upon within your area of expertise to assist with any critical situations at a customer site.
  • The CCC team DNA is innovation; every team member is also required to contribute to ongoing internal team projects.

  • Travel to customer and business meeting sites across the region (Europe, Middle East and Africa).  Approximately 30% of the role.
  • Position can only be based in EU, legally eligible to work in the European Economic Area is a must requirement.

The minimum you need to succeed: 

  • Show Empathy, Passion, Energy and a Willingness to do whatever it takes to keep our customers happy.
  • Be comfortable and conversant around Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Computing,
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud-based, distributed systems (Azure, OpenStack, etc.).
  • Software as a Service experience, and able to articulate your opinions on current technology trends.
  • Strong background and past hand-on experience within Voice Networking, (firewalls, Routers, SBCs, etc.) & Cyber Security.
  • Experience implementing or auditing or program managing PCI, ISO 27001, SOC, and other compliance initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with Cyber Security or Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, AWS Certified Security, or similar professional experience.
  • Excellent Technical writing skills.
  • Be a Team Player; be adaptable, able to multi-task and be ready to travel.
  • Ability to work independently with little guidance and be detail-oriented.
  • Flexible and adaptable to all work environments.
  • Work in-line with team and company standards;
  • Goal-oriented and have the self-discipline to complete all work tasks on-time.
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Fluency in English AND one additional EU language (German or French), both written and oral is a must requirement.


Nice to Have Skills:

  • Fluency in written and spoken the German language is considered a significant benefit.
  • Email, CRM applications, TTS and/or Speech recognition products (Nuance/Google TTS/DialogFlow).
  • Experience with Cisco, Avaya, InContact & other competitive solutions.
  • Prior Genesys Cloud hands-on Experience, in operational, professional services or presales role.  This is an essential requirement.
  • VOIP skills (SIP, WebRTC, etc.)
