About the job:

We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer to join the Data Science team to work with us on improving the core algorithms that power Genesys customer experience platform. This is a great opportunity to influence how we solve various optimization challenges in the customer experience ecosystem.

This role is also open to remote candidates located in Ireland.

 

This job will enable you to: 

  • Work with customer data to understand patterns that impact the customer experience
  • Design and test algorithms that make customer interactions better optimizing various metrics, such as customer satisfaction, call resolution, and more
  • Drive our innovation and research activities turning them into new products and features
  • Understand the overall architecture of our customer experience platform becoming familiar with its micro-services and their interactions
  • Be a hands-on member of the team, designing experiments and implementing product features in Python or other languages suitable to the problem we are solving

 

This job might be right for you if: 

  • You have a degree in Computer Science or related disciplines. 
  • You have 3+ years of experience in software development and you enjoy writing code in Python and popular ML framework.
  • You really enjoy working with a team of data geeks, but can take initiative and drive projects on your own as well.
  • You love decomposing hard problems into simple hypotheses and testing them with real data and algorithms.
  • You are eager to and like learning new things and experimenting.
     

Ticking these boxes would be great, but they are not required:  

  • You have a Ph.D. degree or have some experience with research.
  • You published a paper or a patent.
  • You like to mentor more junior team members.
  • Familiarity with version control (git), CI/CD (Jenkins), SQL, notebooks, and ML libraries.
  • You have an awkward sense of humor

Covid-19

Safety for our employees and our communities is a key priority for Genesys. We continue to experience rapid growth during the Covid-19 pandemic and are conducting remote hiring and onboarding processes. All hiring and onboarding processes are being conducted remotely at this time. We utilize Zoom video meetings and phone calls during the interview process. We will be working remotely through at least June 30, 2021, in most locations, and we are re-evaluating the opening date of all the Genesys offices on an ongoing basis.
