As a Senior Software Engineer working on the Customer Success Digital Transformation team, you will be presented with the exciting opportunity of building the front-end components interface of a new comprehensive web experience for Genesys customers, partners, and employees that considers all digital touch points (web experience, communication, methods of engagement) of the Genesys journey. 

We’re looking for a person that has the desire to continuously learn and experiment with emerging technologies/industry trends. 


Overview of the role: 

  • Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and product stakeholders to design and evolve platform and application capabilities to meet product and business goals. 

  • Implement delightful user-facing features in alignment with the product design team. 

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. 

  • Build modular layouts, reusable code, and libraries for future use. 

  • Utilize web analytics to optimize application performance and feature sets. 

  • Identify and mitigate performance bottle necks and bugs in web client. 

  • Deploy releases in a staged CI/CD environment. 

  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies. 

  • Help set technical standards and best practices. 

  • Document release notes. 



  • Professional experience developing web applications. 

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3. 

  • Cloud computing experience, preferably AWS. 

  • Good understanding of SEO principles including web analytics. 

  • Experience transferring data using REST and/or SOAP. 

  • Understanding of application security. 


The wider tech stack: 

  • Vanilla JavaScript development. 

  • Front-end frameworks (Angular, React, and/or Vue) 

  • Automated testing (Jest, Mocha, Karma) 

  • Understanding of test-driven development and code review. 

  • Understanding of JavaScript transpilers and CSS preprocessors. 

  • JavaScript bundlers (Webpack, Browserify, Babel) 

  • Observability tools (NewRelic, Prometheus/Grafana) 

  • CI/CD (Jenkins, Travis, Gitlab) 

  • Source control management (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub) 

  • *Nix environment experience.
